My beautiful, big, red crock pot full of deliciousness! |
Did you see the index? The alphabetical listing of crock pot recipes of everything under the sun? If it can be made in the crock pot, chances are she's done it. Don't know what to cook for dinner? Just go browse her recipes...you'll find something! Something else that is great is that she cooks gluten free! That's not something that I pay attention to, but I have some friends that do and maybe you do. You just got expanded your recipe collection by a ton. Seriously people, try some of her recipes! My favorites (in case you don't know where to start) are the Buffalo Chicken Wing Soup, Orange Chicken, Cream Cheese Chicken and the Bacon & Cheese Chicken. I promise I don't only cook chicken in my crock pot!
There are the days when I just randomly throw stuff in and hope it tastes good at the end. The good thing is that I've never made anything yucky in the crock pot yet. I'm not sure it's possible! The Man once asked me if I know how to cook any other way. He was just teasing but I do make dinner in it a lot. Even though I stay at home, I love using it. I never know what time he's coming home and if he'll be hungry right away. If it's in the crock pot, it will be ready whenever we want it.
Do you love your crock pot? What's your favorite recipe to make using it?
Omg, thank you so much for her link!! I'm a slow cooker fanatic, too. The best dish I made was beef biryani. It was expensive, but yummy. I also have two little boys that only eat the skin of apples, so I save the half-eaten fruit, then cook it down into an applesauce once a week (I hate wasting food). I also cheat and use the McCormick slow cooker beef stew packet with cubed beef, carrots, celery, and potatoes.
ReplyDeleteI will DEFINITELY try some of her recipes, thank you! :)
oh i loooove my crock pot also! My favorite recipe is 1 pot roast (about 3 pounds), 1 packet of french onion soup mix, potatoes, carrots, and 1/4 cup of water. Through all that in the pot and turn on low for 6-8 hours. Delish!
ReplyDeleteWe have 3 crockpots :) Only one is full-size though, the other little ones are good for cheese dip and I did make the applesauce recipe from the site you mentioned. (LOVE that site.)
ReplyDeleteWow thank you for posting her website! I've been back and forth all day copying down different vegetarian friendly (or convertible) recipes.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to cook in the crockpot (so far) is Vegetarian Buffalo Chicken Dip
