Chicken Breast
Eggs, beaten
Flour
Seasoning
Oil
1. Cut the chicken into bit size pieces. Mix flour & seasoning. I use Cavender's Greek Seasoning. Sorry I don't have measurements but the amount I use depends on how much chicken I'm cooking. Don't be skimpy with the seasoning...you want there to be enough that you can taste it!
The ingredients |
2. Dredge the chicken in the egg. Place chicken in the flour and cover completely.
3. Fry until golden brown and the internal temp of the chicken is 165.
Finished! |
The chicken is yummy hot or cold. I love adding leftover popcorn chicken to salad. Not that there are usually leftovers!
Yummy! I'm a little different than you though. I LOVE chicken strips. I could eat strips any day of the week (with ranch dressing)!
ReplyDeleteSo good! I love the fact that you, like me, aren't bound to using exact measurements; let those spices fly!
ReplyDeleteMy compliments on picking a great deep fryer; I have several Cuisinart appliances and have been more than satisfied with their performance.
Enjoy the day!
Patty
I like my chicken grilled, over pasta, with a creamy pesto sauce. But fried chicken is quite tasty too.
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone go wrong with popcorn chicken...Yummy! I need to make some soon =]
ReplyDeleteLooks good! Do you happen to recall about how long you'd fry it on the stovetop for it to reach the desired temperature?
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing! And woohoo for a new toy!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I was going to say, "Leftovers?? Not in this house!" :)
ReplyDeleteThose look amazingly delicious. Hm, my fave way to eat chicken? I like making chicken nuggets for my two boys. Cut chicken breasts into small pieces, dunk in egg, coat in bread crumbs, then cook in a skillet with a little oil (we don't have a deep fryer).
Hubby and I don't eat meat often, but I do love roasting an entire chicken, especially the Foster Farms pre-seasoned ones.
Um, YUM! And totally jealous of your deep frier.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so now you have to share the sausage squares!! I've been making small packets (bread and velveeta) in little baggies and putting them in the freezer so we can have it for the 2 of us whenever we want!!
ReplyDeleteI think its a simple dish yet its awesome and delicious.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing. This is so much better than out of a bag. I'll have another Tasty Tuesday link up again tomorrow; I hope you'll share a recipe again.
ReplyDeleteWow!! My mouth is watering this looks so good :) Thank you for sharing this recipe!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amber
Hi! I just made popcorn chicken too! Sadly, I didn't look at your blog until AFTER I made them and will have to try that seasoning next time! I just seasoned with salt and pepper and don't think it was quite enough.
