Homemade Pizza

We like pizza.  A lot.  We tend to make it cause I can be cheap.  I don't mind buying pizza but homemade is just as good...and often better.  It's easy since we tend to have all the ingredients on hand.  Here's how I do it:

Step 1:  Have The Man make the pizza dough

Step 2: Roll the dough out

Step 3.  Brush the dough with garlic & olive oil.  I also sprinkled basil on top.

Step 4:  Spread the sauce  (I had homemade in the fridge that I used.  You can use the jar stuff if you don't have any homemade.)

Step 5:  Add cheese

Step 6:  Add any other topping you want

Step 7:  Feed the dog

Is it weird that she sits to eat?
Step 8. Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes...or until done.  I think.  The Man usually takes care of this part!

Step 9:  Slice and enjoy!

  1. Pizza is my favorite food so anyone making it from scratch is too cool for words :) I laughed how you threw in feeding the dog because in reality you can't start something and finish without some little one (pets included) getting your attention. I love this, thanks for sharing!

  2. That looks delish! I will have to try this once the soldier is back! It has to be better than Little Ceasers and the closest thing we are going to get to NJ pizza here in TN!

  3. My man makes the dough, usually enough for 2, so we freeze one and use the other. I make mine on my PC stone, but pretty much do the same as you except for step 7 (I feed the cats) and once I pop it in the oven (we do 500 degrees for about 8-10 min, nice and brown) and I'm done, the man then takes over and I enjoy!

  6. MMMM...I made homemade pizza last night too. But I hadn't thought about using garlic with the olive oil on my dough...that is a great idea I'll have to try.

  16. [I accidentally originally posted this on the wrong one... silly me]

That pizza looks really yummy. I have been itching to make some homemade pizza for a while but I have to find a really good gluten free dough.

  17. That pic of Miss Molly eating is too cute! And it's not weird at all, Beauford sits to eat as well. I guess they are much like humans - I prefer to sit when I eat...

  18. This looks great!! We like to slightly grill the dough on the BBQ grill before topping and baking. I like to call it a poor man's stone oven :)
