Splurge and Temptation.

I was helping The Man out and ran to Lowe's for a replacement part.  As I was walking in some spring plants caught my eye.  I love flowers even though I tend to kill them.  There were rows of daffodils, hyacinths, tulips and several others.  I stood there for a few minutes before deciding that I was going to splurge and get a couple.  I got a daffodil and a hyacinth (it smelled so good!)  I also picked up some potting soil.  When I got home I planted in some of the pots I got from my parents.

Iggyman loves plants as much as I do...or maybe more.  I think he might be thinking about becoming a vegetarian.  It doesn't matter what kind of  plant it is, he wants to chow on it.  Flowers from The Man, mint, chive...he'll eat it.  It drives me CRAZY.  So when I brought these plants inside he zeroed in on them and I had to keep swatting him butt (lightly).  He knows better...but he likes to push his boundaries!

Caught in the act!

What's this one mom?

More plants!

  1. Good luck with your pretty flowers! I always make an attempt at keeping flowers around the house. Fail Fail Fail. Keep us updated with their progress =)

  2. The flowers are beautiful! I tend to kill things too so I avoid bringing flowers in unless they are cut. As for the kitties...try a spray bottle and lightly spray when they start to eat them.

  3. So pretty! I'm always tempted by the flowers at Lowe's, but I feel too guilty when I kill them. They're a great little reminder Spring is on it's way!

  5. I have a ton of plants. I think the trick is to know what your plants needs are as far as water and sun.

  6. Great shot of the cat with his teeth wrapped around the plant! I've never seen a cat eat a plant before.

  7. Haha! I usually don't keep greenery around in our house (because I kill things quickly) so I'm not sure how our cat Woods would do with a plant but I'm sure he would try and snack on it like Iggy :)

  8. Some things never change, I think he needs a spider plant or two for dessert!!
