There was silence as I was waking up this morning. A glorious silence that only means one thing. It was confirmed by the light. The muted brightness that’s visible before you open your eyes. As I slowly opened my eyes I could see the snow, the glorious snow. Even as an adult, there’s a little leap of joy in my heart. Especially since I didn’t have to go anywhere. As a kid I would have jumped out of bed and begged to go outside right away. As as adult, I turned over and snuggled closer to my husband and drifted off back to sleep. The joys of snow as an adult….more sleep!
Isn't it great?! Keep warm! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it. Chris did not have to go to work and I only did a half day. We're currently curled up on the couch with the dogs :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get out there!!
ReplyDeleteThe snow.. we have had our fair share over here.. as well.. You know we are hoping to get WA as our next duty station. The Sailor is talking about early detachment from shore duty, so if so we will be looking at orders to move sometime come June or July, and moving sometime in November or December of this year. Maybe we'll be neighbors? Not sure how long you guys have left there.
ReplyDeleteDH is getting out this year and we'll be staying here:) So we should be here (as long as he can get a job) if you gets head this way. Though if you guys end up at Everett or Whidby Island, those are on the other side of the sound.
