Easter 2014

Our Easter was very low key this year and it was wonderful.

We got up early to make it to the Sunrise service at church. Every year our church serves breakfast, complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy along with lots of other yummy breakfast sides. It was delicious as usual. Following the breakfast there was an egg hunt for the kiddos. It was nice and low key, with plenty of eggs for all the kiddos. Munchkin had a great time. She wanted to hold her eggies (as we call them) on the way home so we let her. She opened them up and decided to munch on one of the chocolates, foil wrapper and all. It must not have tasted that good as she didn't finish it!

Munchkin was a little grumpy when we got home so she got to take a nap. The Man went to put her down. I waited a bit but then went to take a nap myself. I was going to tell him but figured he would realize where I had gone. I woke up two and half hours later to the oven timer going off, as my mom was starting to get linner (a combo of lunch and dinner) ready. I went out to see if she needed any help and realized that Munchkin and The Man were still napping. He fell asleep putting her to sleep. It's a common occurrence in our house (we both do it!) so I wasn't surprised. We all needed that Easter nap!

Nana finished getting lunch ready by popping a pan of homemade Potatoes Au Gratin in the oven. When it was done we enjoyed dinner (ham, peas, crescent rolls and the potatoes) while watching Frozen for the first time. Munchkin got it in her Easter basket from Nana and we all enjoyed it. I like it more that I thought I would. After that Nana cleaned up and we just relaxed (well, The Man had to finish writing a paper.)
It was a wonderful, low key, relaxing day. How was your Easter?
