The Shipwreck at Fort Stevens {Semi Wordless Wednesday}

On the beach at Fort Stevens Park is the shipwreck of the Peter Iredale.  The metal skeleton of the boat that ran aground in 1906 rises out of the sand and your eyes can’t help but be drawn to it.  While we were at the beach we realized that Munchkin doesn’t like waves…something we hope she’ll grow out of!

  4. Nope, not too much left. There is more buried under the sand according to a park ranger we talked to while we were there. Sometimes more is exposed depending on the tides and storms that have gone through. But it's been there for over a 100 years!
