I'm Back Friday Fill-In!

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

Since the last month was so crazy I haven't been doing the MilSpouse Friday Fill-in and I missed it!  I'm do glad to be back to my normal schedule!

1.  What do you see your life like in 10 years?

This question became a little bit harder with some of the stuff that's happened recently.  I can say I hope that we're either still in WA or have been able to move back. Hopefully there are some kids running around and I'm able to stay home to chase after them!

2.  What do you like most about your job?

I love the flexibility!  I can work as much or as little as I want and I can take it with me.  I was able to do 2 shows while I was home and it was great!  I also like that I can earn the new products for free.

3.  What are three things you do every day, no matter what day it is?

Wash my face, sleep and take the dog out.

4.  What would you do with an extra five hours in your day today?

I'd actually be OK removing 5 hours from the day instead of adding them.  I'm the oddball I know.  I would probably sleep to help them go by quicker!

5.  What is your favorite Christmas (or whichever holiday  you celebrate) cookie recipe (please share!)?

My absolute favorite recipe is for Baklava.  Growing up my mom and two of her friends would have a cookie baking day.  They would make 10-13 different kinds of cookies in triple or quadruple batches.  I've had several different favorite cookies over the years and this is mine now.  I would love to share it but can't.  We were given it by a friend and it is a secret family recipe.  We promised to never share it.

My second favorite cookie is the Kudebie.  It's time consuming cause you have to add the 3 1/2 cups of flour 1 tablespoon at a time.  So I'll share with you my third favorite cookie, Mrs. Palmieries.  We got the recipe from her and they are a yummy chocolate cookie.

MRS PALMIERIES CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Ingredients:

1/2 cup oil
4 squares melted unsweetened chocolate

2 cups sugar
4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour

1 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup confectionery sugar

Instructions:

Mix oil, chocolate and sugar.  Blend in eggs one at a time.  Add vanilla, stir and then add flour, salt
and baking powder. CHILL SEVERAL HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.    Roll and shape into balls.  Drop into
1 cup of confectionery sugar.

Finishing:

Place balls on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350o for 10-12 minutes.

  2. Ooh, a mysterious secret recipe that can never be shared... you're cruel to mention it! ;-) I suppose you made up for it by posting such a tasty-sounding chocolate cookie recipe, though. I'll bet they're fantastic.
