I didn't think that reading the bible in 90 days was going to be easy. I've fallen behind a few times. This past week I got 3 days behind. Thankfully I was able to catch up today! I was able to read this morning when I got up before The Man. My problem is not that I have so much to do that I don't have time. I have the opposite problem. I have the time to read...maybe too much time because I fill it with other things, like Zuma Blitz, blogging, sewing...you get the picture. I need to make sure that I'm getting it done. I'm going to try to make it part of my morning routine.
I'm not going to lie, I didn't enjoy reading Leviticus. It's repetitive. I am thankful that we no longer have to offer animal sacrifices. I'm looking forward to the coming books...we start in Joshua tomorrow!

ug! I don't enjoy Leviticus either. I need to get the ball rolling better on my Bible reading... not looking forward to a couple New Testament books.
ReplyDeleteI've been struggling with reading the Bible in one year. I fell a little behind a couple days ago when we had a guest in town, but I'm back on track! Like you, I have the same problem. I have time, but I don't do it. I'm hoping to get into a regular routine!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were able to catch back up! I was sick this week and glad that I had been ahead so I had a little bit of a cushion. My sister lives in Tacoma WA (Air Force), and all of my kids have been out to see her (one at a time with Grandma) She is really wanting me to come out and see her, so hopefully it will work out this year :) Really enjoyed looking through your blog.
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Our church is reading through the New Testament together this year. We only read a chapter a day, 5 days a week. It's such a great pace! I feel like I can definitely keep up and accomplish it. And I like it that I have 2 free days to mix it up and read whatever part of The Bible I feel like. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a specified end date.I am trying to get in 3-5 pages a day. I fell behind this weekend.
ReplyDeletewith my reading, Bible Study Homework, Research on Sunday's Sermon, Homeschooling my 3 boys, planning group classes, laundry, and coking...... I allow myself to be too overwhelmed some days; I'm working on correcting that.

I always struggle with Old Testament, but it really helps build an understanding. I admit 90 days seems like a rather daunting task. Good luck, keep it up :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm a new follower from yesterdays military blog hop. I know I'm lagging but I look forward to following your blog. I was going to do the "reading" as you, for lack of better words. But I didn't think I had enough discipline to do it. http://crazycassieslife.blogspot.com/
