Scripture & A Snapshot

“Consider how the wild flowers grow.
They do not labor or spin,
Yet I tell you,
not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field,
which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
how much more will he clothe you
—you of little faith!

Luke 12:27,28

I'm a worrier.  You can ask The Man or my mom...or any member of my family actually.  I'm probably a little too good at it.  The verses above were part of the sermon today (we read them from Matthew but same, same!) and God is just reminding me that He is in control.  Nothing surprises him.  I take great comfort in that.

It's been raining/snowing here for the past week.  The flowers I bought have been a great reminder that spring will be here soon.  I'm very much looking forward to the sunshine & warmer weather.

You can head over to Katie's blog if you'd like to share a photo that you've paired with scripture...or if you'd just like to check out more!

  2. Okay you know when He's talking to you when you hear the same sermon on the other side of the country!!! We are doing a 7 week sermon on the Lord's Prayer and I read in Matthew about worrying this morning. I'm really trying to leave it with the Father, but mother like daughter I still worry!!.

  3. Yes - I tend to worry. Thank you for the gentle reminder from Scripture that we are not to worry. The photo and the flowers are beautiful.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

    Blessings,

  4. This was the reading (from Matthew 6 as well) in the Catholic mass today too! (Don't know if you use the same cycle--some Protestant denominations do.)

He is definitely in control, and if you put your trust in Him, you can hopefully kick your worrisome nature to the curb! Good words from the scripture today.
