Hello February, it’s nice to see you! I’m happy to report that I’m still going strong on my resolution to get healthy! I have to go back and check out what my other ones were. I’m kinda only focusing on one! How are you doing on your resolutions?
I’m linking up with Wife of a Sailor today. Go check it out!
1. What’s one thing in the past month you would have changed?
I’d love to change The Man’s school schedule. As it is, he has class Monday through Thursday. He’s also started rehearsing for a new show he’s in so he gets home really late. If the school hadn’t changed his class schedule, he would have been home for two nights during the week and I’d be a much happier wife. It was actually the VA that made the change, so I still blame the military. They are still messing up my life even though he’s not in anymore!!!
2. What was your favorite thing that happened in January?
Weekends, including me time when I was able to sew and get a massage. Game night with Wifey and Huzzy was also lots of fun. I’m looking forward to a repeat this month!
3. What are you looking forward to in February?
I like that February is a short month. Also, I’m looking forward to Lent. Is that weird? Our church does Lenten soup suppers and a Wednesday night service after. I LOVE Lent. It directs my focus for Easter and I enjoy not having to cook one night a week. It’s also nice to socialize midweek with friends!
4. What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
Nothing that I know of. I was surprised with flowers and candy last year but I don’t expect it. Also, candy would not be good for the diet! Maybe I’ll make a nice meal and have some candlelight and the babygirl can be in bed…oh wait. Let’s be honest. If I make a nice meal that will be when Munchkin will decide to cry all night!
5. What is your best advice for a MilSpouse whose spouse is deployed for Valentine's Day?
Don’t spend it alone! Got out for dinner with a friend or have someone over bit DO NOT SPEND IT ALONE. Repeat after me, DO NOT SPEND IT ALONE! Even if you don’t normally celebrate it, your spouse being gone will only make it worse.
And because no post is complete with photos, I’ll leave you with one:
Bet you thought the picture was going to be of Munchkin, didn’t you? Well, I still take cute photos of the furbabies!
I need to figure out something for Lent - either to give up or to do. . . hmmmm. . . Sorry the man is gone every night. At least you have control of the remote control. Ha!
