A miracle has happened and both girls are napping at the same time. While there are other things I should be doing, like cleaning up the kitchen, prepping dinner, sweeping or folding clothes, I’m going to sit on my butt and write a post with Gilmore Girls playing in the background. I have so many posts to catch up on…Punkin’s birth story, her one and two month photos, and while I promise I had others in my head, I can’t think of them at the moment. They’ll come back to me someday I hope. Maybe once I’m getting more sleep.
I had a few minutes early on New Year’s Eve to write a few lines. Here’s what I managed to get down:
2014 was good to us and I’m not sad or happy to see it go. We got pregnant and had a baby, got several projects done around the house and were able to visit Disney and the Oregon Coast. However there’s something nice about a new beginning. It’s a clean calendar, a chance to start again. As I sit here I wonder what the next year will bring.
I don’t really like making resolutions. I do have a few goals, like getting Munchkin potty trained, going back to school and running a 5K. It’s weird for me to think that in this year I’ll have a three and one year old. I’m looking forward to watching the girls grow and learn new things.
Then the baby started crying and that’s all I got. We had planned to stay in and play games to celebrate New Years but instead I went to bed at 9:30. Because when you have a newborn and a toddler, you need to sleep whenever you can. My brain is mush so I’m going to go play Oregon Trail thanks to the Wayback Machine before the girls wake up. And because I love you, here’s a photo of our family taken on Christmas Eve. I’ll be back…when I don’t know but I do promise I’ll come back someday!
