#reverb 10; Community

Prompt: Community. Where have you discovered community, online or otherwise, in 2010? What community would you like to join, create or more deeply connect with in 2011?

This is a great question!   I've discovered an amazing community of Milspouses online.  You ladies rock!  It's wonderful to have the support of other Milspouses even if you've never met in person.  It's nice to know that someone out there gets it.  They get the lifestyle, the uncertainty and the craziness.  It's also nice to support others and be able to share helpful hints.  In a lifestyle where there is frequent moving, of yourself and of friends, it's nice to have the consistency of a blog.  You can stay in touch in during the changes.  Online friends doesn't help when you want to get out of the house and want a friend, but is does help when you're feeling alone.

I've also found a great community at church.  I attend a morning play group (even though I don't have kids!) and it's been a great way to get to know some of the women.  I love my church.  They are supportive and welcoming.  I'm looking forward to getting to know people better and becoming more involved.

I love to hear your thoughts, so please share! If you know us in real life, please refrain from using our names to help us keep some semblance of privacy.

Also, I ignore comments that only ask for a follow back. The best way to get me to YOUR blog is to leave comment showing that you've read SOMETHING on my blog. Thanks!
