Confuzzled

I'm a bit confuzzled (confused) about my days this week.  The Man is on leave and it's totally throwing me off.  It didn't feel like Monday today at all.  I have to keep reminding myself what day it is.  Even though I'm not keeping my days straight, I love having The Man home!

We went down to Salem, OR yesterday to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday.  My brother-in-law cooked an amazing three course meal.  It started off with French onion soup, followed by salad with homemade dressing followed by pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans.  Along with homemade rolls.  For dessert there was homemade cookies and carrot cake.  It was AMAZING!  M, my brother-in-law used to own a restaurant and he's a great cook.

After dinner we played a game, the name of which is escaping me.  It has black tiles with 6 different shapes & 6 different colors.  It's kind of like dominoes.  Anyway, that was a lot of fun too.

Miss Molly came along and got to meet her cousins.  She wasn't thrilled about it but got along pretty well with them.  Shawshank, or show for short was to small for Molly to really care about about and Soba, a pointer mix was smart enough to stay away from her while she was growling.

The best part of the night was playing Mario Kart.  The Man & I LOVE Mario Kart.  We play it just about every night.  We learned that we can play against other people online.  I'm not sure what century we're living it but it was so much fun!  We're looking forward to M and his girlfriend E coming up so we can play against each other...since we had to share two remotes last night.

There would have been some more photos included in this post except I didn't take any.  Except for one on the way home.  It was just way to cute to pass up!  And I'm writing this on The Man's computer and it isn't coperating...so you'll get to see the picture another day.

  1. I love MariKart too! I know that if we exchange some code or whatever, we can play against each other! I still haven't done that yet, but would be game for trying a MarioKart date :)

  2. I love MarioKart although I've never played the Wii version, just good ole Nintendo 64...that might have to be our next Wii game purchase though :)

  3. OccDoc's home and off work until April. We both are completely lost on what day it is. I feel your confuzzlement! We'll ahve to try MarioKart, though.
