To My Mom

Mom,
DW Field Park, Brockton, MA about 1984

It's hard to know where to start because you've done so much for me.  From cleaning those nasty dirty diapers when I was a baby, to making sure I ate something, even if it was spaghetti for breakfast when I was a picky eater, to holding my hair back when I was sick, to supporting my decisions and cheering me on as I got older, you've always been there.  You're an amazing mom.  You haven't been perfect but you've done your best.  When I made mistakes you didn't yell.  Instead you helped me learn from what happened.  When I ask for advice you give it but don't get upset if I don't follow it.  Sometimes when I asked questions you wouldn't tell me out right but helped me find the answer on my own.  You helped instill a love for reading, sewing and shopping in me.  You've also taught me how to love, ask forgiveness and help others.  You've inspired me to reach for the stars and to work hard for my goals.  You're never to busy for me.  I know that if I needed you, you would be here as soon as possible.

Thank you for your sacrifice and hard work on my behalf.  Thank you for loving me unconditionally.  I wouldn't be the woman I am today without you.  I'm blessed to not only call you mom but also my friend.  God knew what he was doing when he gave me you.  I'm so glad that in his wisdom he made YOU my mom.  No other mom would have done.  It had to be you!  I hope that when I'm a mom, I'll be half as good as you.

I love& miss you.  I can't wait for you to come out!

  2. Happy Women's Day and maybe in the future I will be saying Happy Mother's Day. You are my special girl and I guess we both agree that God knew what He was doing when He gave us each other!! No other would do, but YOU. Thank you for knowing I'm not perfect but loving me anyway. As any mom I always want you to have your heart's desire, and to find it with maybe some ups and downs. You made my day and made me tear up!! How I do miss you and can't wait to come out. I love you very, very much and I miss my "S......." hugs.
