Sour Cream Coffee Cake

I grew up with this coffee cake and it’s so yummy.  My mom got the recipe from my great aunt, so I guess that makes it a family recipe.  The Man really likes coffee cake and I had forgotten about this recipe.  He was not happy when he realized I was holding out on him! He’s a happy camper when I make this recipe.

Ingredients:
1 white or yellow cake mix
1 sm vanilla instant pudding (I’ve also used cheesecake and lemon...both are good!)
1 sm (8oz) sour cream
4 eggs
1/4 cup oil
1/2 milk

Sugar Mixture:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350

Steps:
1. Mix together the sugar mixture and set aside.

2. Mix the cake mix, pudding, sour cream, eggs, oil and milk together. Beat until fluffy.

3. Grease & flour a bundt pan. Pour 1/2 the batter into the pan.  Sprinkle 1/2 the sugar mixture and swirl with a knife.  Pour the remainder of the batter on top.  Sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture.

4.  Bake for 45 minutes.

5. Remove from oven and cool on bottle.  After 20 minutes, remove from pan and enjoy!

  2. OH DELICIOUS CAKE! These are the things I will miss the most about trying to eat a cleaner diet! I'll have to tuck this one back though for special occasions where I need to take something, and then can have just a slice!
