I’m A Hermit

I’m 26 days into NaBloPoMo (National Blog Post Month; the end is in sight, Wahoo!) and it’s getting rough.  I’m starting to run dry on what to write.  I’m totally not sure what’s coming for December.  I’m linking up today with Chantal and two Caitlins for their What Do You Do SAHM link up.  Thank you ladies for helping me out with blog post inspiration!

What things do you do outside of your home? Ex: volunteering, exercise, etc.

I don’t do as much as I should.  I’m happiest at home so I often have to force myself to get out.  I was exercising with a friend regularly but that’s stopped since the cruise.  We’re hoping to start doing it again but it’s cold (whine, whine, whine.  And Yes, I’d like some cheese with it please!)  Once a week there’s mom’s group but we don’t always go.  We un errands with Nana (she’s great about getting us out of the house).  We also like going to the dog park

What do you do for you?

I blog.  I try to get out with friends at least once a month.  I’ve also been doing some crafty things, like making hair bows.  I like having a creative outlet.  Once my sewing room is cleaned out and organized again I’ll start sewing.  I miss it.

How do you keep your relationship going after kids?

My relationship with who?  My relationship with The Man is the most important (outside of Jesus.)  We make sure to spend time together, often with Munchkin but not always.  I’ve never been great about staying in touch with others so having a baby didn’t change much.  We try to connect and it happens when it happen (I have a few people I NEED to call/email.  C, you’re at the top of that list!)

What kind of groups are you involved in, if any?

Just mom’s group.  I don’t do so well in groups.  I’m apart of several online groups and I did go to a meeting for the local cloth diaper one.  It was ok.  I didn’t know anyone and most of them did and I felt out of place.  I really don’t like going into a new group when I don’t know anyone.

  1. I'm definitely a homebody, too! I think that's why I enjoy blogging because it gets me "out" in cyberspace, but I can do it from the comfort of my home. I go through phases where I want to go out, but then I need time at home... I basically keep a 50/50 balance to feel "normal".

    xo Always, Abby

  2. Sounds like we could get along. I am a homebody and am involved in two Mom's Groups but never really love going to meetings. I always end up saying something awkward, or I just don't feel like I'm fitting in well. Thanks for sharing!

I love to hear your thoughts, so please share! If you know us in real life, please refrain from using our names to help us keep some semblance of privacy.

Also, I ignore comments that only ask for a follow back. The best way to get me to YOUR blog is to leave comment showing that you've read SOMETHING on my blog. Thanks!
