Favorite Time Wasters

Source

We all have one.  Come on, admit it, you have a favorite thing that you do instead of doing what you need to do...laundry, dishes, study....you know it.  I have a few.  Facebook is one of them.  That's predictable though.  I used to be addicted to Farmville.  Thankfully I'm a recovering Farmville addict!  Since then Bejeweled Blitz has become a favorite.  There's something satisfying about making fake jems disappear.  It wasn't long until I was at the top of my leader board.  It's nice being up there, isn't it?  I'm usually in the top 3.  Not always but more often than not.  After awhile it's not much of a challenge but I still play cause I'm not playing anything else.

Until they came out with a new game.  I'm telling you, I think the game makers at Pop Cap set out to make addicting games.  My new favorite is Zuma Blitz.  There's a cute little frog that shoots balls out of his mouth.  You need to match at least 3 for them to disappear.  It's easy.  Well, it wasn't so easy at first but now that I've gotten the hang of it I love it.  It helps that I have two friends who have also become good at this game.  I like trying to beat their scores.  Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.  It's still a challenge.  They change the course every week and that keeps it challenging too.  I like that you can run out of lives...it makes me stop playing because you have to wait for the to regenerate.  So I go and do something else and come back once I have more lives.  So in a way it helps me get stuff done (or so I tell myself!)

Earlier in the week my two friends & I were talking about this game.  We were just laughing over how much we love to play it.  Come to find out one of their husband's does not have a Facebook account and has been playing and he's the one getting the high score!  He's been on leave and has had the time to sit and play.  We just laughed...I was going to ask her for tips!

I have a confession to make...the writing of this post, I've stopped several times to play Zuma.  That frog is so addicting!   I'm also not liking this week's course very much....it's to hard to get the gap shots so my scores are low.  Gr.  I have to keep trying!!!!

What's your favorite Facebook game?

  3. I did Cafe World for a while, which is a lot like Farmville. But then I gave it up for Lent and didn't miss it at all!

Now I play Family Feud on Facebook. You can only play one episode a day until you earn a few more, so it keeps me from frittering too much time.

  6. Yes, I'm a Zuma addict! I still say that the friend's husband still needs to get his own FB account! =P Btw, I love the new look of the blog. I usually read in the google reader, so I'm loving the colors here!

  7. You're going to think I'm the biggest dork, but I used to be obsessed with Scramble (it's a word game where you find words within a box of letters in 3 minutes). You can play with other people so I challenged people all the time. Now, I need to make myself stay away from all games...I become addicted way too easily!

Thanks for linking up on the mil spouse roundup!
