August 21, 2011

This is my first time participating in IComLeavWe so I thought I'd tell you a little bit about myself:

I'm Poekitten.  It's nice to meet you!
That guy with me is The Man aka my husband.
You'll see more of him if you stick around.
I married my sailor husband in August of 2009.  The Navy is his mistress.
She can be demanding but we make it work and roll with her indecisiveness.
I started blogging a little over a year ago to stay in touch with family & friends.  The blog is about our life...what we're cooking, making, changing on our house, and where we're exploring as we put down roots here.  There are times I share about what I'm learning about life and my faith.  Our furbabies also make frequent appearances because they are just too cute.  I might be biased though...
Aren't they adorable?

I've noticed that most of the blogs participating have to do with infertility.  Well, after a year of not preventing and another year of actually trying, The Man and I are embarking on our quest to find out why we're not pregnant yet.  We have our first appointment tomorrow and I have to admit that there's a little fear there.  While I've been doing a little reading and quietly reading a few infertility blogs, there's still a lot I don't know. The unknown is always a little scary and I'm thankful that I'm not going to be alone through this!

Please let me know you stopped by!
Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon.

  1. Best of luck at your doctor's appointment.

  2. Good luck at your doctor's appointment tomorrow!

  3. Bring some paper and a pen to your appt. I always do that and usually come away with a ton of notes scribbled down (to verify with Dr. Google, of course). Good luck!

  4. Poe- I didn't realize you guys were having any trouble getting pregnant. I hope your appointment goes well and you get some answers.

  5. Hi there,

My name is Kim from The Ladies in Waiting Book Club, here from the ICLW.

I wish you the best of luck as you find a solution to all of your waiting. The IF community is a great one... full of people ready to support you. I hope you find all of the answers you need!

  6. Good Luck tomorrow ( on your visit!!! I hope you can start on the road to get some answers. When I finally found the right Doc for me, after 5 years of secondary infertility and 5 miscarriages total...(at that time) ... he was amazing, made me feel so comfortable, and handed me a prescription of Clomid! HA! Sometimes it's easy, sometimes, not so much. I hope it's as easy as that for you though.

We moved to WA a little over a year ago, so I'm *new* here too ... still feel new anyway ... we also live on the Puget Sound... it's nice to *meet* another WA Blogger...

    Happy ICLW from #86 :D

  7. Sending up a prayer for you that your appointment goes well today!

  8. Hope your appointment goes well! Just stay positive, it will all work out.

  9. Hoping you find an answer to the pregnancy dilemma soon.

  10. Hi there! Look forward to catching up with your blog-loving the recipes. I commend you for making that appointment-it can be scary but I think its great that you're taking control and getting answers. All my best to you!

I love to hear your thoughts, so please share! If you know us in real life, please refrain from using our names to help us keep some semblance of privacy.

Also, I ignore comments that only ask for a follow back. The best way to get me to YOUR blog is to leave comment showing that you've read SOMETHING on my blog. Thanks!
